Invite us, teach with us, or support us

A school that wants a session, a high-school student who wants to teach one, and anyone willing to help cover what it costs to get there.

Ways to take part

Schools, students and supporters

For schools

What happens after you write to us?

  1. You tell us the year group, roughly how many children, and two or three dates that could work.
  2. We check whether we can get a team of volunteers to you on one of those dates, and confirm which one.
  3. We send you the teacher's guide beforehand so you know exactly what each session contains and what the children will take away.
  4. We arrive with everything, run the session, and pack it all up again. You provide the room and one adult.

For students

No robotics experience required

The technical parts are easy to learn. An experienced member will show you the ropes before you get into action. Just be willing to sit next to an elementary school child and teach happily.

For your first session you are paired with someone who has taught before, so you are never in front of a class on your own. How many volunteers travel to a session depends on how many children are in it, which means there is always someone beside you to ask. Most people start with the weekly program in Taipei and add a trip later, when they can take the days off school. Volunteers are welcome from any school.
